Tony Mochama is a celebrated Kenyan poet, writer, multiple award and grant winning author and senior journalist at The Standard Media Group Kenya, one of the leading media giants in Africa. Among his notable accolades include being a multi winner of Burt awards for African YA literature and he was also a recipient of the Miles Morland scholarship. He is an alumni of the Summer Literary Seminars in St. Petersburg, Russia where he sharpened his craft in creative writing. He has been a resident poet at the Ca’Foscari University, Venizia, Italy, an Emily Harvey Foundation resident writer in Venice and over the years been a speaker, reader and facilitator at literary seminars and workshops in Canada, London, Portugal and across the continent and the globe.
