#33: Maryolive Mungai on Consistency, Passion and finding the Melody of purpose and Purpose in melody.
In this episode, the Busy Being Born duo have a great conversation with the outrageously skilled singer, actress and queen of opera MaryOlive Mungai. The trio retrace her steps from her earlier curiosities and traces of passion from childhood, through school and into adulthood. The journey traverses continents with stories and lessons from recitals, friendships, family, school and scholarships, actuarial science days, mentors, musicals, studying in Liverpool, full circles, soul sucking office days, concerts and so much more! Encounters with the ‘real’ Santa, Fleetwood Mac and English Mayors do not pull away from the loudness of solitude and celebration of / for study. The gems from the episode spotlight balance, taking chances, facing fears, being true to the self, perspective, patience and professionalizing the Arts. A great episode whose guest highlights and recognizes the need for hugs in foreign lands with the same sensitivity she handles musical notes. A driven and vivacious guest whose storytelling, energy and passion make for a great listen!
